Course Description
This workshop provides an introduction to the field of Project Management and its core concepts and best practices, including increasing one’s efficiency through the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
Most employees are expected to be able to organize, coordinate, and manage project and tasks, but project management as a formal, distinct skill set is often overlooked and undertrained. And while many project management tasks can benefit from AI assistance, how and when to use AI tools to manage projects is an evolving challenge. This highly interactive workshop introduces project management best practices through exercises, scenarios and case studies, including how and when to incorporate AI tools.
The course is designed as a practical workshop and learning by doing is a key component. As such, participants will be asked to produce formal project deliverables for a case study project, some of which will require AI assistance. After each exercise, a review will be conducted offering comments and suggestions for improvement.
Note: participants must be able to access a generative AI tool during the workshop. While the best practices introduced in this workshop can be applied to any generative AI tool, this workshop will use Microsoft Copilot.
